Softshell jackets are great for mild or changeable weather with light rain or wind. They offer breathability, freedom of movement, and moderate weather protection thanks to the Dynastretch material. 

Insulation jackets offer an extra layer of warmth when it’s cold. In wind or rain, you wear them under a hardshell or softshell jacket to keep warm and protected.

When buying a women’s hardshell jacket, the following criteria are crucial:

• Water column: From 10,000 mm for hiking, from 20,000 mm for alpine use.

• Breathability: Ventilation zippers under the armpits improve air circulation.

• Cut: Sports such as climbing or skiing require a helmet-compatible hood. The pockets should be arranged so that they’re easy to reach when wearing a backpack or climbing harness.

• Pack size: Small pack size for transporting in your backpack.
